Where are you from?
Blakeney where I have my own fish shop.
How long have you been at Fakenham Market?
Since November 2015 when I took over this spot on the retirement of Mr and Mrs Earl who ran a successful fish stall here since the 1960’s.
What are your opening times here?
6.15am – 3pm.
What other markets do you attend?
Creake Abbey and North Elmham market which is weekly on Mondays 9-12pm, plus the monthly Fakenham Farmers’ Market.
What led you to running this stall?
I have been a fisherman since I was 14 and am now nearly 60, so it has been my whole life.
What do you like about coming to Fakenham Market?
Absolutely brilliant people – they are so friendly. The Earls did a very good job before me, and the stall holders and customers have made me really welcome. I love the eclectic mix of stalls, the interesting mix of visitors and regular customers. There’s a really nice camaraderie on the market.
What are your best selling items?
Crabs, and ready made meals, fish pies, fish cakes, fish patés and a full range of seafood and fresh fish.
